Do plus-address aliases work in Gmail?
Yes. Gmail ignores everything between + and @, so you+shopping@gmail.com lands in your normal inbox. You can then filter or route messages based on the To address.
Can websites detect or block plus aliases?
Some services strip or reject plus addresses at signup, treating them as duplicates of the base address. Others ignore plus addressing entirely, so the alias simply never arrives.
Is a plus alias as good as a temporary inbox?
